In 2022 , our journey began with a mission to empower restaurants for online sales and growth. Rapid expansion marked our initial two years. Amid this, our team recognized an unaddressed issue inherent in aggregator models – prompting the realization below:

Aggregators prove costly

The commissions we levied on merchants, in line with industry standards, posed a significant obstacle to their business expansion. On average, an unsettling 30% of merchant earnings were directed towards commissions. Our merchants sought a viable online ordering platform, which unfortunately we were unable to provide.

Customers seek direct engagement

Customer feedback highlighted a notable trend, a majority preferred direct restaurant orders over third-party platforms like ours. Equally, customers expressed a desire for direct communication with merchants, encompassing inquiries, complaints, and feedback.

Speed is a key driver of customer satisfaction

We hold the belief that faster order fulfillment directly correlates with heightened customer contentment. Our merchants required an online ordering system facilitating swifter processing and delivery compared to traditional eCommerce platforms. As intermediaries, we were unable to achieve a 30-minute order fulfillment. The resulting inertia of aggregator platforms left numerous customers dissatisfied.

Transitioning from Small Business
to Market Leadership.

Certain of the need for change, our concerns drove an in-depth exploration. The notion of crafting a rapid commerce platform emerged a comprehensive solution featuring a branded mobile app and web store. This technology aimed to address the challenges confronted by our customers and merchants.

In mid-2022, we transitioned from Eat Mubarak to BIGTECH. Initially, BIGTECH focused on facilitating direct online orders and swift deliveries for brick-and-mortar restaurants and supermarkets a seamless process that aligns with our “BIGTECH of an eye” philosophy.

The original online ordering platform underwent a transformation beyond our co-founders’ expectations. It evolved into an expansive quick commerce stack, encompassing integrated customer engagement and business intelligence tools. This innovation revolutionizes interactions between brick-and-mortar businesses and their customers.
